Mountain Grove Residents have access to healthcare services not typically seen in a local rural clinic setting

The care you need close to home.

Ozarks Medical Center (OMC) is committed to the communities they serve, and at OMC Mountain Grove they’re not just a rural family medical clinic, but a comprehensive medical complex offering a breadth of healthcare services not typically seen in a local rural clinic setting.

Serving the residents of Texas, Douglas, Wright counties and beyond since 1997, the medical complex and its providers offer women’s health services, limited same-day lab services, laceration repair, x-ray, behavioral healthcare, physical, occupational and speech therapy, and heart care services.  Services that can save patients the inconvenience of travel to larger cities - saving money, time away from work, as well as peace of mind.

OMC Family Medicine means ‘neighbor caring for neighbor’.  Many OMC providers are local, living and serving their own communities.  Local OMC Mountain Grove providers include Sarah Williams, M.D.; Adam Mattison, A.P.N.; and Stephan Yost, P.A.

Dr. Sarah Williams is board certified in family practice and has been with OMC Mountain Grove since September 2018. She earned her medical degree from the University of Missouri, School of Medicine in Columbia. A native of Houston, Dr. Williams relocated back to the Ozarks with her husband Tyler, and their two sons, to serve her local community.  Dr. Williams offers Women’s health services including family planning and prenatal health services.

Of Dr. Williams, a patient recently said “She comes in with a smile and a professional but caring manner.  She never spoke over my head and answered all my questions.  She even had me come in the same day when I called concerned about some worsening symptoms.”

OMC Walk-In Clinic provides treatment for minor trauma and illnesses that require same-day attention but are not severe enough for a trip to the emergency room. This is helpful for times when a patient’s primary care office is closed or unavailable. Patients are seen on a walk-in basis with no appointment necessary, seven days a week.

OMC Behavioral Healthcare (BHC) offers efficient and effective mental health services to children and adults including individual, couples and family counseling. In addition, BHC provides case management and medication services to help reduce the severity and duration of mental health disorders. Their team of behavioral healthcare professionals provides convenient, comprehensive care to keep the community mentally healthy.

OMC Heart Care Services.  Board-certified cardiologist Dr. Archana Sinha recently joined OMC Mountain Grove to bring heart care services to the local community. Since 2017, she has practiced at OMC Heart Care Services, West Plains, and is expanding her practice to include OMC Mountain Grove.  As a cardiologist, Dr. Sinha specializes in diagnosing and treating diseases of the cardiovascular system. If a person has symptoms of a heart condition, their primary care provider may refer them to Dr. Sinha, where they can be seen in Mountain Grove.

OMC Rehabilitation Services.  OMC was the first healthcare provider in this region to offer physical and occupational therapy, as well as speech-language pathology services in inpatient, outpatient, nursing home, home health, and school settings.   OMC Rehabilitation Services takes a team approach to meeting each patient’s therapy needs. In cases when a patient requires more than one rehabilitation service, all therapists work together with the patient and his or her family to develop and carry out the best possible plan for achieving therapy goals.  All of which can take place in the Mountain Grove location.

In 2018, pelvic physical therapy was added to the complex, with the addition of physical therapist Nancy Meesey and Hakuna her certified facility animal.  She treats all conditions and specializes in pelvic health, which treats conditions including pelvic and abdominal pain, sexual dysfunction, and bowel or bladder dysfunction. She treats pelvic conditions for men, women, and children of any age.

One of Meesey’s patients has reported that “Nancy puts you immediately at ease when discussing such personal issues.  There was just a multitude of things she taught me to do, changes that made a huge difference.”

OMC is committed to improving the quality of life for all the people in the region through accessible healthcare services. They know how important it is to have high-quality health care available in your own community.  OMC Mountain Grove will continue to elevate and expand the wealth of services offered to the communities they serve.
