OMC to Host Pastor Appreciation Breakfast

Ozarks Medical Center (OMC) will host a pastor appreciation breakfast on Monday, Sept. 23, from 8 to 9 a.m. at 1211 Porter Wagoner Blvd. in West Plains. The event will be held in the Willard Hunter Conference Room of OMC Parkway and will serve as an opportunity for OMC to celebrate the contributions of area pastors to the volunteer chaplaincy at OMC. The event will also help to inform area pastors and church leaders about the volunteer chaplaincy program at OMC and the opportunities for involvement.

OMC volunteer chaplains have been a vital part of healthcare at OMC for 30 years and continue to be so today. OMC chaplains provide spiritual care to the patient and family, recognizing that injury and illness have a significant relationship with spiritual needs and practices of faith. They believe in the healing of mind, body, and spirit. The spiritual care is non-denominational in its approach and focuses on a person’s spirituality rather than on denominational or religious-affiliated beliefs. OMC Chaplaincy Department is made up of local ministers and spiritual leaders in their churches. These individuals have a heart for ministry, desire to meet the spiritual needs of others, and give of their time and talents.

For more information about the event, contact OMC Chaplain Coordinator, Michael Parrott at 417-256-9111, ext. 7056 or visit the OMC Facebook event page at
