West Plains Savings & Loan donates $10,000 to OMC Foundation Capital Campaign
West Plains Savings & Loan made a charitable contribution to the Ozarks Medical Center (OMC) Foundation’s “Building the Future” Campaign to help support the construction of the new Women’s Center.
“West Plains Savings & Loan has existed in the West Plains community since 1919 with a local board who are very interested in developing the community – not only economically but also through schools and healthcare,” said Pam Woodward, Manager and Board Member, West Plains Savings & Loan. “Our board members and clients are most pleased to help the West Plains’ economy, as well as healthcare in our region, knowing OMC puts about $77 million back into the community annually.”
Without the participation of community members, like West Plains Savings & Loan, this project would be inconceivable. “On behalf of the OMC Foundation board, we thank West Plains Savings & Loan for their continued support of rural healthcare,” said Carol Silvey, Vice President for Advancement, OMC Foundation. “We take pride in having support from other institutions that, like OMC, have a local board and their roots deeply planted in our area.”
The “Building the Future” Campaign was created to assist OMC in bringing many of their providers under one roof, expand the footprint of the main campus by 100,000 square feet, create a first-ever state-of-the-art Women’s Center in the region, and provide overall more convenient, compassionate care to all it serves.
The Ozarks Medical Center Foundation, established in 1998 as a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) with a local board of directors, serves as a liaison between the donor and OMC to assist the healthcare system in providing excellent care to the communities it serves.
