Ozarks Healthcare announces First Newborn of 2023

Ozarks Healthcare has welcomed its first baby to be born at its Women’s Center in 2023. Brooks Davis entered the world at 3:28 p.m. on January 1. He weighed eight pounds and one ounce and was 20 inches long. Brooks is the son of Chance and Autumn Davis of West Plains.

Brooks was delivered by Dr. Jeffrey Roylance from Burton Creek Rural Clinic. As the first baby born in 2023 at Ozarks Healthcare, Brooks and his family were gifted a basket with several items from Ozarks Healthcare’s Obstetrics (OB) Department, which included clothing, diapers, blankets, toys, and more.

Featuring 20,000 square feet, Ozarks Healthcare’s Women’s Center includes modern labor and delivery rooms, gynecological surgery facilities, and educational spaces. The Women’s Center also houses five labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum rooms, plus one labor and delivery procedure room. Ozarks Healthcare delivers approximately 600 newborns each year.
