“Go Wild” with Ozarks Healthcare and CBCO Blood Drive This Summer

Ozarks Healthcare is partnering with the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks (CBCO) to encourage blood donation and summer fun with a special promotion. While supplies last, donors who give blood at an upcoming drive on Friday, August 22, will receive a free limited-edition “Go Wild” T-shirt and a voucher good for two free general admission tickets to the Dickerson Park Zoo in Springfield — a $38 value.

The blood drive will be held at Ozarks Healthcare’s Parkway Center in the Willard Hunter Classroom located at 1211 Porter Wagoner Blvd. in West Plains from noon – 6 p.m.

Donating blood not only helps save lives but also supports over 40 hospitals in our region, including Ozarks Healthcare. In the Ozarks, someone needs blood every seven minutes, and one donation can help up to three people.

Appointments are encouraged to reduce wait times. Donors can schedule by calling 417-227-5006 or visiting www.cbco.org/donate-blood.   

To help ensure a successful donation, donors are encouraged to:

• Drink water or juice the night before and morning of the drive,
• Eat a balanced meal 2–3 hours beforehand,
• Bring a photo ID, now required for all donors.
