Ozarks Healthcare Serving as Drop-Off Location for Community Food Drive
As food insecurity continues to impact families throughout our region, Ozarks Healthcare is proud to partner with Ozark Action, Inc. to support a community-wide food drive this month.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, food insecurity is a leading cause of unhealthy families because it limits access to nutritious foods, increasing the risk of chronic diseases such as diabetes and heart disease.
Through the end of November, Ozarks Healthcare will serve as a convenient drop-off location for those wishing to donate. Community members are encouraged to bring nonperishable food items to the hospital’s main entrance, where Ozarks Healthcare’s Registration staff will be available to assist with donations, and Ozarks Healthcare Pharmacy locations.
Items collected will help support local households facing hunger, ensuring vital resources remain within the communities Ozarks Healthcare serves.
For more information about the food drive or how to participate, please contact Ozark Action, Inc., at 417-256-6147.
