Ann Marie Newberry Joins Ozarks Healthcare Foundation Board

The Ozarks Healthcare Foundation is pleased to welcome Ann Marie Newberry as its newest member of its Board of Directors, bringing a wealth of professional experience and a lifelong connection to the West Plains community.

Newberry, a native of West Plains, was born at Ozarks Healthcare and has spent most of her life in the area. She and her husband own Newberry Sales, a family-run business where both of their daughters are also involved. She currently serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing and Communications Officer at West Plains Bank and Trust Company. A passionate advocate for her community, Newberry has long been committed to volunteerism and giving back.

“I am a firm believer that you get out of something what you put into it,” she said. “We all have a responsibility to use our talents when we see opportunities to make something better.”

Newberry’s connection to Ozarks Healthcare is both personal and professional. Not only was she and her family born at the hospital, but she also previously worked within its public relations and clinic administration departments. Her previous collaboration with the Ozarks Healthcare Foundation through fundraising initiatives has fueled her enthusiasm for this new role.

“I hope to engage with and learn from the professionals who have dedicated their careers to the health of our community and do my part to increase awareness and generate support,” she said.

Ozarks Healthcare Vice President of Development and Advocacy Josh Reeves shared his enthusiasm for Newberry joining the board.

“Ann Marie brings a deep understanding of our community, strong leadership experience, and a genuine passion for supporting local healthcare,” Reeves said. “Her professional background and personal connection to Ozarks Healthcare make her an excellent addition to the Foundation Board, and we are excited to have her voice and perspective helping guide our mission.”

Ozarks Healthcare CEO Terence Farrell emphasized the vital role the Foundation plays in supporting patient care across the organization.

“The Ozarks Healthcare Foundation is an essential partner in helping us enhance and expand the care we provide to our communities,” Farrell said.

“Through the generosity of donors and the leadership of its board, the Foundation helps fund critical programs, services, and equipment that directly impact our patients every day. We are grateful to have Ann Marie joining this dedicated group of advocates.”

Newberry also encourages community members to get involved with the Foundation in ways both big and small.

“Time, donations to or purchases from the thrift stores, sharing a personal story of a successful healthcare outcome, attending an event, purchasing your favorite drink from the coffee shop in the hospital lobby - there are endless ways to ensure that local access to healthcare services continues and anyone can help,” she said.
