Ozarks Healthcare to Host Community Education Dinner Focused on Stroke Awareness and Prevention
Ozarks Healthcare invites the community to attend its next Community Education Dinner focused on stroke awareness, prevention, and treatment on Thursday, May 28, at 6 p.m. in the Willard Hunter Classroom at Parkway Center, located at 1211 Porter Wagoner Blvd. The event will feature Dr. Clara Applegate, neurologist at Ozarks Healthcare.
During the evening, Applegate will discuss important stroke-related topics, including recognizing the warning signs of stroke, understanding risk factors, the importance of seeking emergency care quickly, and advances in stroke treatment available close to home.
Ozarks Healthcare recently earned Primary Stroke Center Certification, recognizing the health system’s commitment to providing high-quality, timely, evidence-based stroke care close to home.
Stroke is a leading cause of disability and death, but timely treatment and education can make a significant difference in outcomes. Attendees will learn how lifestyle choices, preventive care, and awareness of symptoms can help reduce stroke risk and improve long-term health.
Applegate provides specialized neurological care at Ozarks Healthcare and is passionate about helping patients better understand neurological conditions and the importance of early intervention.
The free event is open to the public and will include dinner, educational information, and an opportunity for attendees to ask questions and connect with healthcare providers.
