Dr. Curtis Horstman Named Chief Medical Officer at Ozarks Healthcare
Ozarks Healthcare is pleased to announce that Curtis Horstman, DO, has been named Chief Medical Officer (CMO).
Horstman has long served patients in the Ozarks Healthcare Emergency Department, bringing decades of experience in emergency medicine and a steadfast commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery and completed his residency at Siouxland Medical Education Foundation in Sioux City.
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Horstman played a vital leadership role in guiding emergency response efforts, helping implement protocols, educate the community, and ensure safe, timely care during a critical time for the region.
In 2025, he was recognized as a 417 Magazine Top Doctor, reflecting his clinical excellence and the trust he has earned among colleagues and patients alike.

As CMO, Horstman will provide physician leadership, support clinical quality initiatives, and help guide strategic efforts to further strengthen patient care across the health system.
