Ozarks Healthcare Celebrates New Chapter in Women’s Healthcare With Ribbon Cutting

Ozarks Healthcare celebrated a new chapter in women’s healthcare Thursday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its newly relocated Ozarks Healthcare Women’s Health Clinic, held in partnership with the West Plains Chamber of Commerce.

The ribbon cutting marked the relocation of Women’s Health to its new home at 1115 Alaska Ave. in West Plains, providing patients with a dedicated space designed to support the growing needs of women throughout the region.

Ozarks Healthcare Women’s Health is committed to providing personalized, progressive care for women at every stage of life, from adolescence and reproductive years through pregnancy, menopause and beyond.

“Our goal is to make sure women in our region have access to the high-quality, advanced care they need without having to leave home,” Terence Farrell, Ozarks Healthcare President and CEO, said. “Our Women’s Health team brings together experienced physicians, nurse practitioners, certified nurse midwives and other healthcare professionals who are committed to listening to our patients and providing care that is both compassionate and forward-thinking.”

The Women’s Health team includes Tony Lam, MD, FACOG; Jose Crespo, MD; Roxanna Torres, MD, FACOG; Kimberly West, MD, FACOG; Jennifer Rhoads, WHNP-BC, Mary Kate Brasier, WHNP-BC, along with Ozarks Healthcare’s team of Certified Nurse Midwives, Shelley Mitchell and Tabitha Young.

Together, the team provides comprehensive obstetric, gynecologic, breast and specialized women’s health services, including well-woman exams and preventive care, obstetrical care and delivery, certified nurse midwifery care, gynecological surgery, infertility evaluations, menopausal care and treatment, incontinence treatment, pelvic relaxation treatment, contraception, ultrasound services, and more.

Ozarks Healthcare’s midwifery program provides relationship-based, individualized care, with certified nurse midwives working collaboratively with physicians. This model allows patients to remain at the center of their care while providing access to physician expertise when additional medical intervention is needed.
