Ozarks Healthcare Enhances Life-Saving Cardiac Care with New State-of-the-Art Cath Lab Technology
Ozarks Healthcare is proud to announce the addition of the new Philips Azurion 7 cardiac catheterization lab, further strengthening the organization’s ability to provide rapid, life-saving cardiac intervention for patients across the region.
The investment directly supports Ozarks Healthcare’s recent designation as a Primary Heart Attack Center by The Joint Commission, a prestigious certification recognizing the health system’s ability to quickly diagnose and treat heart attack patients with evidence-based care close to home. The new technology enhances Ozarks Healthcare’s capacity to deliver timely intervention when every second matters during a cardiac emergency.
For patients experiencing a heart attack, access to immediate treatment can significantly improve survival rates and reduce long-term heart damage. With the addition of the Philips Azurion 7 system, Ozarks Healthcare is expanding its ability to provide advanced cardiac procedures locally, reducing the need for transfers and helping patients receive critical care faster.
The state-of-the-art Philips Azurion 7 system is designed to improve precision, safety, and patient outcomes through enhanced imaging and advanced treatment capabilities. The platform includes technologies such as StentBoost for improved stent visualization, IntraSight 5 for real-time coronary physiology assessment, FlexVision XL for optimized imaging, and ClarityIQ, which significantly reduces radiation exposure while maintaining exceptional image quality.
In addition to advanced imaging, the Cath Lab is equipped to treat complex cardiac and vascular conditions with technologies including the Impella heart pump, intra-aortic balloon pump, Shockwave intravascular lithotripsy, Penumbra System for clot removal, and orbital atherectomy for heavily calcified arteries.
“This investment reflects Ozarks Healthcare’s commitment to providing high-quality, advanced cardiac care close to home,” Terence Farrell, Ozarks Healthcare President and CEO, said. “Patients in our community now have greater access to leading-edge treatments without needing to travel to larger metropolitan areas.”
The upgraded Cath Lab allows Ozarks Healthcare to provide faster treatment times, reduce patient transfers, and expand access to specialized cardiac and vascular procedures for communities throughout the Ozarks.
