Ozarks Healthcare Launching Virtual Walk-in Care

Ozarks Healthcare is expanding access to convenient healthcare services with the launch of virtual walk-in care beginning Tuesday, June 9, offering patients an easy way to connect with a provider from home or wherever they are located.

The new service allows patients to receive virtual walk-in care through their smartphone, tablet, or computer using the Ozarks Healthcare Patient Portal.

Ozarks Healthcare’s virtual walk-in care is designed to improve accessibility for patients across the region by reducing travel time, increasing convenience, and providing faster access to care for many common, non-emergency healthcare needs.

“Virtual walk-in care is another way Ozarks Healthcare is helping meet patients where they are,” Terence Farrell, Ozarks Healthcare President and CEO, said. “We know many individuals and families face busy schedules, transportation challenges, or long travel distances for care. This service provides a convenient option for patients to connect with a trusted provider quickly and safely.”

Patients can use Virtual Walk-in Care for a variety of conditions and services, including: cold, flu, COVID-19, cough, and sinus symptoms, allergies and asthma care, urinary tract infections (UTIs) and yeast infections, rashes and skin concerns, minor burns, cuts, sprains, and strains, minor low back pain, behavioral health support, follow-up appointments, and one-time medication refills.

During the visit, providers can discuss symptoms, answer questions, provide prescriptions or referrals when appropriate, and determine whether an in-person appointment may be necessary.

To participate in a virtual visit, patients will need a smartphone, tablet, or computer, a working camera and microphone, a reliable internet connection, and an Ozarks Healthcare Patient Portal account.

Ozarks Healthcare encourages patients to prepare for visits by writing down symptoms and questions ahead of time and selecting a quiet, private location for the appointment.

Most insurance plans are accepted. Self-pay visits are available for a flat rate of $80 per session.

Patients can access virtual walk-in care through the Ozarks Healthcare Patient Portal, where they can start an on-demand visit, join appointments, and communicate with their care team.

Ozarks Healthcare remains committed to improving access to high-quality healthcare services and delivering innovative care options close to home.
