Ozarks Healthcare Makes Virtual Walk-in Care More Accessible
Ozarks Healthcare is making it easier than ever to access care from home by offering two convenient ways to access Virtual Walk-in Care. Patients can now connect with a healthcare provider online through either their Ozarks Healthcare Patient Portal account or a new option that allows patients without an account to get care directly with a simple click of the button on Ozarks Healthcare’s website.
The convenient service allows patients to connect virtually with a healthcare provider for common, non-emergency illnesses and minor health concerns, including allergies, cold and flu symptoms, urinary tract infections (UTIs), rashes, pink eye and more.
To get started, patients can visit www.ozarkshealthcare.com/virtual-care. Virtual Walk-in Care is available Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
“We’re always looking for ways to make healthcare more convenient and accessible for the communities we serve,” Terence Farrell, Ozarks Healthcare President and CEO, said. “Adding another avenue for patients to receive care makes it even easier to connect with a provider when the need arises.”
Cassandra Mooneyham, a patient who needed to be seen one day while she was at work, said she didn’t have to leave the office or spend time sitting in a waiting room when accessing virtual walk-in care during her lunch break.
“I didn’t have to sit or be in line or leave work, and I was able to get my prescription to the main campus and labs done quickly versus if I had to go to the clinic and wait first,” Mooneyham said.
During a scheduled or virtual walk-in visit, patients will connect with a provider as soon as one is available to discuss symptoms, answer questions and provide prescriptions, referrals or follow-up care when needed. Providers can also recommend an in-person visit if additional evaluation is necessary. Ozarks Healthcare accepts most insurance plans, and the self-pay rate is $80 per session.
Virtual Walk-in Care is intended for non-emergency medical concerns. Patients experiencing a medical emergency should call 911 or seek emergency care.
