Ozarks Healthcare to Host Community Education Dinner Focused on Women’s Health and Midwifery Services

Ozarks Healthcare invites the female community to attend its next Community Education Dinner on Thursday, April 30, at 5:30 p.m. in its Willard Hunter Classroom in Parkway Center, 1211 Porter Wagoner Blvd. The event will feature Dr. Kim West along with members of Ozarks Healthcare’s midwifery team, Tabitha Young and Shelley Mitchell, highlighting expanded women’s health services available locally.

The evening will focus on women’s health topics across all stages of life, including the importance of preventive care and routine screenings.

The event will also highlight Ozarks Healthcare’s new midwifery program, led by Certified Nurse Midwives Tabitha Young and Shelley Mitchell. The program offers an additional option for personalized pregnancy care, focusing on education, shared decision-making, and building strong relationships with patients throughout their pregnancy journey.

Midwifery care at Ozarks Healthcare follows a collaborative model, with certified nurse midwives working closely alongside obstetric physicians to provide safe, comprehensive care. Patients receive care in a hospital setting, ensuring access to the full support of the Women’s Health team when it matters most.

West, a board-certified OB/GYN and Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, recently joined Ozarks Healthcare and brings extensive experience in obstetrics, gynecology, and patient-centered care. She is passionate about helping women better understand their health and feel empowered in their care decisions.

The Community Education Dinner is free and open to all women. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions, connect with providers, and learn more about the wide range of women’s health services available at Ozarks Healthcare.
