Ozarks Healthcare’s Laboratory Services will conduct low-cost lab health screenings at several of its locations through the year. Community members are encouraged to “know their numbers” for blood sugar, cholesterol, thyroid, calcium, and more. 

Low-Cost Lab Screenings 

Ozarks Healthcare is making preventive care more accessible in 2026 by offering low-cost lab screenings and bringing its Mobile Mammography Unit to communities across the region throughout the year. According to Ozarks Healthcare’s latest Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA), chronic disease management and cancer prevention are the top two health priorities in the region - making early detection and accessible screenings more important than ever.

Through Ozarks Healthcare’s Laboratory Services, community members can take advantage of affordable screenings designed to help individuals “know their numbers,” including indicators related to blood sugar, cholesterol, thyroid function, calcium levels, and more. These tests play a key role in early detection and prevention of common health conditions.

Available lab screenings include: Complete Blood Count (CBC), Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (CMP), A1C (Diabetes Screening), Lipid Panel (Cholesterol Screening), PSA (Prostate Cancer Screening), TSH (Thyroid Screening), and a Vitamin D Screening.

Pricing for lab screenings begins at just $17. Screenings will be offered on scheduled dates at Ozarks Healthcare locations across the region.

In addition to lab screenings, women can access convenient breast cancer screening through Ozarks Healthcare’s Mobile Mammography Unit, which brings advanced 3D mammography technology directly to rural communities. The unit is designed to increase access to care and support early detection, which significantly improves outcomes. Appointments are required for mobile mammography screenings and are limited. To schedule a mammogram at any of these locations, call 417-274-7911.

 To be eligible for a screening mammogram from the Ozarks Healthcare Mobile Mammography Unit, patients must be female and 40 years or older, not had a mammogram in the past year, not currently be pregnant or breastfeeding, not have implants or breast issues, such as breast discharge, lumps, pain or discoloration, and not have never been previously diagnosed with breast cancer.

The Mobile Mammography Unit is equipped with state-of-the-art 3D mammography technology, providing comprehensive imaging. Early detection through routine mammograms can reduce the risk of death from breast cancer by 25–30% or more. Women are encouraged to begin annual mammograms at age 40, or earlier if they are at higher risk.
