The Ozarks Healthcare Foundation’s Coffee Shop serving Starbucks Coffee brews more than just drinks—it fuels comfort, kindness, and the mission of Ozarks Healthcare, one meaningful cup at a time.

The OZH Coffee Shop is more than just a stop for caffeine—it’s a place of connection, care, and purpose. Located inside Ozarks Healthcare, the shop serves hundreds of employees, visitors, and patient families looking for a warm drink and a moment of peace.
The cheerful baristas greet everyone like a guest in their own home as they whip up handcrafted beverages, proudly serving Starbucks coffee. But there’s more brewing here than meets the eye: every cup supports the broader mission of the hospital.
“Working at OZH Coffee Shop is more than just serving coffee. It’s about being part of something meaningful,” said barista Samantha Herold. “I love knowing that every cup we brew supports a greater cause and brings a bit of comfort to people during what might be the hardest part of their day. It’s a warm, welcoming space filled with purpose, and being a part of that fills me with pride and gratitude every single shift.”
Since opening three years ago, the shop has become a hub of life at the hospital and a source of comfort for those who walk through its doors. Employees often refer to their work as “Coffee with a cause.”
Staci Zeller, administrative assistant and business operations coordinator for the shop, said the sense of purpose sets the coffee shop apart.
“We wanted to highlight that there’s a cause behind what we do,” she said. “We are a nonprofit, and all our proceeds support the hospital. It’s more than handing someone a cup of coffee and a smile. Every purchase supports something bigger.”
In addition to supporting Ozarks Healthcare’s general fund, the shop also participates in community efforts like Coffee with a Cop, where it hands out gift cards and offers free drinks to local law enforcement.
That deeper meaning also resonates with employees.
“Our team loves that they’re part of something bigger,” Zeller said. “They love Starbucks, of course, but they also love knowing they’re working for a nonprofit and contributing to a cause. During interviews, when we tell candidates about our mission, their eyes light up. They want to be part of it.”
“It feels good to brighten someone’s day with a simple coffee,” said Angelina Herold, barista supervisor—and Samantha’s sister. “Whether it's a doctor having a rough day or a patient family waiting on news, we’re here for them. And we love serving our regulars, too, who support our cause every day.”
