Ozarks Healthcare's Midwifery Program
Ozarks Healthcare's Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs) prioritize continuity, relationship-based care, and taking the time to ensure you feel heard, informed, and supported. Midwives are available for delivering mothers and can help with the following:
- Encourage spontaneous labor when appropriate
- Support mobility, positioning, and comfort measures in labor
- Promote informed choices regarding interventions
- Focus on minimizing unnecessary medical procedures
- Protect the early postpartum bonding period
At Ozarks Healthcare Women’s Health, we practice in a collaborative model, which means you have the option to be supported by both midwives and physicians. While most low-risk patients will remain in midwifery care throughout pregnancy and birth, there are situations where a physician may become involved. This may occur if medical complications arise that move you outside the scope of midwifery care or a higher level of intervention is needed during labor.
We encourage you to ask questions, share your preferences, and actively participate in your care. Your voice matters here.
